Responsibilities:

  • Management of key vendor relationships
  • Coordinate operational  requirements with internal and external customers
  • Oversight of operational budgets
  • Sourcing, recruiting, hiring and retaining CDL drivers
  • Manage drivers, supervisor and office administrator including but not limited to annual performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Create a systematic vehicle maintenance program.
  • Develop additional driver KPI's that encourage professional/safe service to both internal and external customers.
  • Develop an internal training program to grow professional drivers from other operational areas.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process, including capital needs.
  • Ability to monitor/review routing systems to support growth.
  • Ability to review/balance geographical regions to enable efficient service levels.
  • Other duties as assigned  

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years  of experience with fleet operations, planning with at least 5 in a management role
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 20%, domestic and international (Canada)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply business and logical sense while understanding and addressing the bigger picture
  • High degree of adaptability
  • Fast learner with an innovative and positive approach
