NCH Corporation – Sr. Financial Business Analyst

 

NCH is currently looking for a Sr. Financial Business Analyst to support NCH China.  The individual will assist Finance in FP&A (Financial, Planning & Analysis) for the China division.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual planning process for the China division, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flows.   Analyze historical performance and industrial trends to set up financial targets for the regions, and assist regions in formulating business plans.
  • Manage monthly forecast, consolidate and present forecast to China management to facilitate executive-level business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models/tools for planning/forecast and analysis, and roll out the models/tools.
  • Coordinate monthly financial reviews to analyze financial results, review variances vs. plan and prior year, and develop action plans to meet financial targets.
  • Assist management in preparing presentations to the Executive Committee for quarterly meetings, the annual plan meeting, and other executive events.
  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify issues and opportunities; recommend strategies and solutions to increase revenue, reduce cost, and improve profitability.
  • Update and maintain a Balanced Scorecard reporting system, deliver monthly balanced scorecards for business performance tracking and benchmarking.
  • Create queries with Business Objects, Oracle Discoverer and other business database querying tools, analyze and provide input for performance evaluation and business decisions.
  • Use NPV, IRR, ROI and other financial techniques to analyze business initiatives, including but not limited to capital investment, variable contribution, pricing, and product launches.

 

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business disciplines, preferably accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial and business analysis, with proven ability to dissect business issues, present data in a simple and compelling way, and present to higher level management
  • Bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese (preferred) and English
  • International business experience preferred.  Experience with China highly desired
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, Visual Basic, Access and Business Object preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of business concepts and tools (NPV, ROI, Break-even, cost-benchmarking, pricing, sensitivity analysis, etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of common financial reports and financial metrics (Income statement, Cash Flow Statement, Balance Sheet)
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP software preferred
  • Highly motivated, self-directed,  flexible team player with demonstrated ability to thrive in a business-critical high stress environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management level and executive personnel
  • Self motivated, organized and goal oriented with a keen attention to detail
  • Solid  communication skills; ability to develop a method for presenting information in a simple yet impactful way
  • Must be willing to relocate to Dalian China
