A little about you

You are IT savvy. You have at least six years of VMware and Enterprise Windows experience and preferably a Bachelor’s degree. You have knowledge and experience with the following: VMWare 7.0 and 6.5, Dell/EMC server hardware including Hyper-converged platforms such as VxRail; Microsoft Active Directory; Ivanti or other ticketing platform; Office 365, Microsoft Exchange 2010 and above, Solarwinds, anti-virus tools, and Windows security updates.

You are a problem solver. If you don’t have the answer, you can figure it out or find it in a timely manner. You have lots of ideas when it comes to troubleshooting and are determined to fix the problem at hand. You also recognize when issues need to be escalated for a prompt solution.

You have a learner mentality. You stay on top of the latest technologies and updates so that you’re in-the-know. You pick up on new concepts quickly and apply them to your day-to-day work and share with the team.

You are an effective communicator. You understand the IT world well enough that you can interpret requests and clearly provide responses and help in return. You can communicate with all types of individuals and stakeholders. You are well-versed on the phone and in person.  

You give great customer service. You respect individual’s questions and inquiries and treat all customers the same. You manage expectations well and are always happy to help. There is no dumb question to you. You also work in a timely fashion so customers can get back to it.

Day-to-day work examples

We support growth, opportunity and variety, which means your day-to-day has the potential to adapt with you and your passions. If you’re not challenged and growing, neither are we. For starters, though, here are some day-to-day examples of what you will be doing:

• Provide direct technical support and direction for worldwide VMWare, Windows, and Active Directory infrastructure
• Provide technical support for other areas of the server infrastructure including, but not limited to Exchange, Office 365, and security solutions.
• Assist Server Team and Server Team Manager with all program management processes, team meetings, server governance and resource management
• Plans and implement major VMWare and Microsoft software upgrades and releases ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed
• Architect, design, implementation and integrations of worldwide VMWare and server infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems referred by first or second tier help desk support in ticket resolution queues.
• Actively participate in rotating on-call schedule
• On-Call availability 24x7
• Travel up to 10% including international locations
