Senior Project Manager - PMO

The Senior Project Manager will join our Corporate IT team to drive projects and ensure project performance as part of the NCH Project Management Office (PMO).  The Senior Project Manager will assist with improvements to current project methodologies and provide project support, training and guidance to other teams as needed.  If you are seeking a position with high visibility and responsibility in a personable, stable yet thriving environment, our Senior Project Manager opportunity, could be a match for you!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the overall performance and delivery of large / cross-functional software development projects
  • Provide clear and consistent communication of project status both internally to IT and with Business Stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain standard project documentation – project plans, agendas, action items lists, deliverables and ensure adherence to company Project Management Standards and Software Development Lifecycle best practices
  • Manage a high degree of change in a fast paced, complex and demanding environment
  • Evaluate business unit and IT decisions to ensure they are in the best interest of customers and company goals; escalate as needed
  • Provide input to executive level presentations for project stakeholders
  • Establish and sustains strong on-going relationships with IT and business partners
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
  • Implement improvements to project methodologies to optimize performance and value over time
  • Provide training in project management and the applied project tools to other team members
  • When needed, provide in-house consultant services to other project teams on project related issues

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8-10 years experience managing complex, enterprise projects / programs in enterprise software implementation (PMP Preferred)
  • Ability to lead and direct work of matrix project teams of more than 25 resources
  • Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills and ability to influence others
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results
  • Experience with analyzing complex issues and delivering appropriate solutions
  • Genuine interest and takes pride in mentoring junior staff
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Oracle implementations is a plus
