Oracle Functional Analyst

We’re seeking an Oracle/Precision Functional Analyst who will be a team member for our Global Oracle Applications R11/R12 implementation group.  That team supports Oracle Inventory, Bills of Material, Warehouse Management, Process and Discrete Manufacturing, Order Management, Shipping and Costing/SLA. This person would also implement and support QAD’s Precision TMS application. This person would provide solution design, develop functional specifications, and perform system testing, end user training, and production support. A Little About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred but not required
  • MUST have at least 10+ years of Oracle Application implementation experience with Oracle Inventory, BOM, WMS, Process and/or Discrete Manufacturing, Order Management, Shipping and Costing/SLA.
  • MUST have at least 5 years of experience with QAD’s Precision/TRAX TMS application.
  • MUST have basic Oracle Application related technical skills; must have knowledge of Oracle Applications tables and TOAD or other SQL tools
  • Desire to work in a team-based environment; must be able to take project direction and provide strategic input when needed.
  • High degree of adaptability. Incumbent will be faced with a variety of issues on a day-to-day basis and will be expected to respond to these issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Detail oriented; Results driven; Must be able excel in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • MUST have strong communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills with international users.
  • Willing to travel internationally and domestically 10% of the time


Day-to- Day Work Examples:

  • Configure and test Oracle Applications R11i and R12 e-Business Suite: Oracle Inventory, BOM, WMS, Process and Discrete Manufacturing, Order Management, Shipping and Costing/SLA.
  • Leads the gathering of business requirements as they relate to the rollout and support of the Oracle ERP software.
  • Configure and test QAD’s Precision transportation software (both WIN-UI and Web-UI).
  • Develops and documents data conversion specifications.  Assists with data conversion validation.
  • Develops and documents detailed program specifications, business process models and scenarios.
  • Determines the technical, interfacing and operational requirements to resolve ERP and TMS software issues.
  • Leads the software testing, end user training and solution rollout.
  • Leads the configuration and administration of the ERP and TMS software as per business and technical requirements.
  • Participates in post-production software support and problem resolution.
  • Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with defined processes and methodology
  • Other duties as assigned by management
