We’re seeking a Human Resources Business Partner who will be instrumental in maintaining NCH’s culture and internal reputation while ensuring the fair and legal treatment of associates. Guiding, coaching, and counseling managers and supervisors in handling employee conflict and other employee relation matters as well as building effective partnerships with functional, sales and operations leaders are keys to success in this role. This person works with both empathy and objectiveness to maintain NCH’s culture, performance, internal relationships and compliance accordingly. You have a solid HR background. You have at least a bachelor’s degree and ten years of corporate-related HR experience with similar responsibilities, or a similar equivalent combining the two. You may even have SHRM qualifications under your belt. You have a working knowledge of HRIS, Performance Management Systems, other HR applications, Excel and Word.  


Day-to-day work examples

  • Coach a supervisor in handling an employee conflict in compliance with company policy.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations into new claims, developing action plans and follow up.
  • Educate management and employees regarding corrective actions, moves and terminations to ensure complete documentation and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with business units and the legal department to address employment relations resolutions.
  • Manage and oversee a Compliance Administrator and associated day-to-day work, including quarterly audits of HR practices.
  • Work with learning and development to develop various training programs for employees.
  • Educate new employees on company culture, policies and procedures during new hire orientation.
  • Annually review current policies and revise to bring them into compliance.
  • Counsel associates on career opportunities and professional development.
