Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary liaison between Hazard Communication Team, R&D and outside vendors, providing a constant distribution of project files to the team to work on
  • Manage the lifecycle of all chemical electronic files in a consistent manner and facilitate the acquisition of data for the files
  • Become familiar with R&D project processes and facilitate Hazard Communication activity within the process, ensuring project checklists are complete
  • Work with vendors/suppliers to obtain regulatory information as needed by the business
  • Log in/out and distribute information to various business units
  • Develop a complete understanding of material safety data and assess that collected information meets business needs
  • Upload SDSs into product information management system
  • Log team hours for allocations to business units
  • Assist in reporting team metrics
  • Perform various other project work as assigned


Key Requirements & Skills:

  • An Associates’ degree in Science would be an advantage, but will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Aptitude/Desire to learn database software (WERCS/Oracle) and our business processes to facilitate meaningful and impactful service
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Quick-learner/self-starter, coachable/adaptable, eager to learn, takes notes while learning, references notes as needed to develop retention and proficiency quickly
  • Must be a team player but also able to work independently, while applying critical thinking skills
  • Highly motivated, flexible team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being proficient at organizing and prioritizing work
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to approach zero errors in final work product
  • 1-2 years of industry experience with working knowledge of SDSs
  • Familiarity with database software applications and/or product information management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
