Front- End Web Developer

The EAS team is a creative, highly productive team that works with business stakeholders to create applications that benefit NCH employees and NCH customers. This person would develop and maintain IT’s portfolio of websites, both internally and externally facing. A Little About You

  • Demonstrable experience in Web Graphic Design, Web User Interface Design, Web Programming Skills utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.
  • Use of latest trends in web development, with strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 protocols 
  • Experience creating responsive websites 
  • Experience with Illustration Tools, Multimedia Content Development, Understanding Browser Capabilities, Internet Presence
  • Experience with CentralPoint CMS, DNN, or other Content Management Systems highly preferred
  • Demonstration of creative skills
  • The ability to take a Comp from a Designer and implement the styles and structure as specified by the designer 
  • Ability to interpret the needs of stakeholders and interpolate the best design based on your skills as a Developer without a Designer  
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with various levels within the organization
  • Strong detail orientation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and requests in a highly productive environment 
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • A commitment to craftsmanship and desire to create beautifully constructed applications that benefit their users 
  • Candidates will be asked to submit examples of their work.

 

Day- to Day Work Examples:

  • Develop and maintain company websites look and feel with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Work hand-in-hand with the development team and product owners to implement their concepts and display provided content in a beautiful, user-friendly manner
  • Help design website content, coordinating with the appropriate internal partners to ensure integral elements are included
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility so that the site looks and behaves as expected
  • Maintain and upgrade site as needed, troubleshoot breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance
  • Maintain site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards
  • Maintain and advocate privacy and security standards 
  • Maintain and enhance team knowledge of emerging trends, technologies, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned or required to support business needs, some of which may not include web development
