Fixed Asset Analyst

 

Thank you for exploring a career with NCH Corporation, an international company where we work in small teams that have a direct impact on success.  We are currently seeking a Fixed Asset Analyst that is responsible for recording the cost of fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets. This position provides routine and ad hoc reporting for all NCH Business Units and assists the business with asset related questions. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze purchases to determine if they are eligible for capitalization
  • Record invoices for capital purchases and determine category and life of asset
  • Reconcile and provide PP&E reports to business groups
  • Prepare and review general ledger reconciliation reports
  • Analyze monthly depreciation reports
  • Create Ad-Hoc reporting and data for various business groups/departments
  • Process and track lease payments
  • Other duties as requested or assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Some college accounting required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Accounts Payable experience; specifically with sales tax, depreciation lives and methods
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Fixed Asset Software, required
  • Understanding of accounting theory and principals (GAAP), with an in-depth knowledge of practices and techniques in Accounts Payable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently
  • Working knowledge of interfaces between A/P and other financial systems
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
