Data Specialist

We are looking for a Data Specialist to join our Oracle Data Management team. This full time position will be responsible for following procedures that ensure consistent and accurate data creation in Oracle as well as providing ongoing data maintenance and troubleshooting data related errors and issues. You will collaborate functionally across business units to make informed decisions ensuring all needs are met and standardized with respect to data, including process development and improvement.  If you’re seeking wide-range, in-depth experience in a personable, stable yet thriving environment, our Data Specialist could be a match for you!

A little about you

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of experience working in Data Administrator capacity
  • Aptitude/Desire to learn software (Oracle) logic and our business processes at a detailed level, relating the two to facilitate meaningful and impactful service
  • Independent decision making ability using strong conceptual understanding of business goals and processes
  • Highly motivated, flexible team player with demonstrated ability to thrive in a business-critical high stress environment
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving, and written and oral communication skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to approach zero errors in final work product
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Oracle and Tableau experience a plus


Day-to-day work examples

  • Develop a complete understanding of data management requirements within Oracle as they pertain to item related data
  • Perform input and maintenance of item data on an individual level as well as en masse
  • Maintain a consistent approach to all data creation and loading
  • Refine and expand ad hoc reporting skills
  • Create and maintain documentation of business processes, standard operating procedures, workflow processes as required for this position
  • Perform various other project work as assigned
