Applications Developer Analyst

We’re seeking an Applications Developer Analyst to join our North American Chemical division as a key member of the Business Systems team.  This position will perform code development, requirements gathering, system configurations, testing, training, reporting and documentation.   Technical skills are required to understand the table structures, provide adequate issue resolution, and the development of applications and reports.  If you’re seeking experience and growth in a personable, stable yet thriving environment, our Applications Developer Analyst could be a match for you!

A little about you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of  experience
  • C#, Asp.net 4.0, Asp.Net Core 3.0, Web API
  • Experience using Visual Studio IDE or similar
  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS , JQuery
  • ADO.NET and Entity Framework
  • Experience developing applications with RDBMS platforms like MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or similar
  • Experience with test driven development in an Agile environment using code versioning tool like GIT/TFS
  • Root cause analysis and complex problem solving skills are important.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward highly available and scalable global solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects and take project direction, provide strategic technical input when needed.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to able excel in a deadline driven environment
  • Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and good verbal and written communications are required

 

Day to Day Work Examples:

  • Assist with day to day project  activities and tasks including administrative support areas, creating documentation, and helping senior team members and business stake holders as needed
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business users
  • Code, document, and test your contributions in a team-oriented environment
  • Contribute significantly to the formulation and design of the solution, not just the coding implementation
  • Developing and supporting applications via SDLC process
  • In-depth understanding of architecture of the applications/ projects worked on.
  • A solid understanding of Data Structures
  • Perform  report development using various  reporting tools
  • Provide Customer Service / Support to end users
  • Perform various other project tasks as assigned
