We’re looking for an eCommerce Specialist with a focus on Amazon Insights and Analytics to join our team here to support and drive our rapidly growing ecommerce and digital initiatives. Under the direction of the eCommerce Marketing Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to drive sales through the Amazon eCommerce wholesale account as well as the Amazon marketplace site. This role will be responsible for analyzing and creating growth strategies for key categories and new items. You will develop strong marketing campaigns that deliver optimal ROI, as well as optimizing online SEO content, conducting keyword and competitive research, category insights management, sku optimization, forecasting, supply chain, reporting and analysis trends. A little about you 

 

  • Bachelors degree in Digital Retailing/Retail Merchandising, Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field.
  • 1-3 years of eCommerce Retail/Consumer products industry experience a must (Amazon preferred)
  • Requires experience working with retail POS data in a CPG environment
  • Independent thinker and excellent problem solver. Able to acquire new skills and knowledge “on the fly” in order to resolve issues with customer invoice/chargeback reconciliation and warehouse operational performance metrics.
  • Use advanced analytical skills to monitor trends, diagnose problems and surface opportunities.
  • Must possess a strong sense of responsibility, proven ability to achieve results and adhere to firm deadlines, analytical and organization skills, strong business judgement, accuracy, excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Able to juggle multiple high priority tasks.
  • The position will require initiative on the part of the person to work independently to deliver insights on the business.
  • Demonstrated skills working on small projects and basic analytic assignments required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel to include use of pivot tables, charting, and external data connections is required.
  • Knowledgeable in standard office equipment and computer software including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and Power Point.
  • Must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and organization skills, project a professional image, and interact effectively with all levels within the organization.

SKU & Category Analysis

  • Serve as a primary lead in the establishment, measurement and reporting of key performance indicators for the overall digital business.
  • Lead role in the development and evaluation of rolling POS & category reporting, which includes offering insight into sku optimization, rationalization and assortment recommendations.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement data analysis models to most effectively measure from various time periods as needed. Integrate POS and causal data to provide insights and recommendations to eCommerce management, sales, product management & marketing.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement category analysis methods to most effectively draw insights that lead to sales and category growth opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing, product management and supply chain to support new product innovation, demand planning efforts, and the constant optimization of our existing product portfolio and related categories.
  • Responsible for the creation of and updates to dashboards, reports, slide presentations, knowledge base articles, and other materials as needed.
  • Represent the Digital team at project planning, implementation and P&L meetings.
  • Maintain a plan for ongoing KPI reporting across ecommerce applications
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to proactively inform the design of more efficient solutions
  • Appropriately identify and raise issues and risks to Management and team members
  • Utilize reporting channels to analyze and report on ecommerce system performance, metrics and KPI’s.

 

Sales Analysis 

  • Utilize reporting channels to analyze and report on ecommerce system performance, metrics and KPI’s.
  • Perform POS analytics & insights that assist in the category and Amazon Advertising projects including business reviews, ad agency campaign performance & category management.
  • Evaluate customer’s bulk buy and cost proposal requests utilizing profit data analysis tool, manage the sign-off process and communicate with key internal stakeholders.
  • Lift key findings from technical analytics, connecting functional area performance and creating possible scenarios for the future; owns tracking and measuring of key business indicators.
  • Develop and implement automated system for converting and reporting of data in Tableau.
  • The position will require timely communication and in depth analytical support focused one eCommerce business solutions. The person is expected to develop a good working knowledge of reporting systems and demonstrate the ability to capture information and incorporate into spreadsheets and Power Point presentations to provide regular updates to sales and marketing.
  • Ability to clearly & concisely present digital insights, in both written and verbal form, at any level of the organization.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and drive team alignment on business objectives with key business partners.

 

Content Development & Optimization

  • Develop, maintain and enhance product titles, content descriptions, categorization, and keywords to improve page rank and consumption.
  • Actively monitor reviews and customer inquiries to gain insights on product gaps and opportunities.
  • Evaluate, create, and track continued improved copy/product images through competitor product/category research, and consumer feedback information, product improvements, and market dynamics.
  • Work to understand the product or category needs through discussions with or input from Product Development Managers, Customer Reviews/Questions, Customer Service, etc.
  • Work in tandem with internal departments, to write/edit advanced content and creative materials for social media copy that links back to Amazon’s product pages to drive further sales demand.
  • Troubleshoot Amazon customer product content verifications due to consumer low reviews or complaints.
