NCH is established, yet growing, and we need to attract top talent to support our overall business strategy.  Our Hazard Communication Specialist will author OSHA and GHS compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) in support of our regulatory program. This is a lab position relating to hardware items such as Welding, Abrasives and Chemicals.  They will additionally provide technical product support to our field sales representatives and customers. This position will be based at our distribution center in Greenville, TX.   • Research, prepare and distribute Material Safety Data Sheets for all products
  • Proof product labels for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that personnel are aware of and take steps to comply with relevant laws and regulations
  • Provide technical product support for Partsmaster sales teams and customers when necessary.
  • Author SDSs to provide correct and up to date information to customers
  • SDS tasks include: authoring new and maintenance products for the US and Canada, assisting in product evaluations, GHS special projects, compliance/regulatory review of technical product documents
  • Support the Quality system for Partsmaster using set standards and procedures developed and designed to meet our customers expectations both internal and external. Including but not limited to: product shelf life, analyzing. customer returns, mixed stock, incoming inspection & testing.
  • Ensure product quality and performance through adherence to the ISO certification program.
  • Adhear to regulatory requirements for Partsmaster products like chemicals, abrasives, welding, polymers and epoxies. (MSDS, VOC, Pesticide registration etc..).
  • Maintain logs for calls, quality control and other documentation as assigned.



Skills –

  • Associates Degree in a scientific discipline, Chemistry coursework preferred;  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in regulatory and hazard communication 
  • Database management skills and experience with acess
  • Technical writing experience
  • Familiarity with regulatory programs (OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc)
  • Knowledge of label composition requirements
  • Ability to work multiple special projects like product line reviews, large product evaluations which include several vendors and their products.
  • Must be able to recognize, diagnose and solve common technical problems.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with experience working on teams from multiple locations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook.)
