Shipping Clerk

We are seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Danco Distribution center, located in Dallas, Texas. Danco, Inc. is one of the top distributors in the U.S. for plumbing repair and replacement parts. Danco sources and distributes parts for virtually every brand of plumbing fixture, including faucets, sinks, tubs and toilets. Key Duties for the role:

• Ensure all shipments both domestic and international receive proper labeling, packaging, and are loaded safely.
• Accurately package, label and sort PO’s to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and pallet decorations.
• Assure that all shipments are shipped on preferred carriers per their written guidelines and with the appropriate freight terms and support documentation (BOLs, Placarding, etc).
• Assure the accuracy of all shipments by performing audits for part number and piece accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned
   

Position Requirements:

• Possess strong computer skills and the ability to learn company's operating system (Focus and Oracle). Experience with Reach Truck and “man up” order picker is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and within time constraints, as prescribed by shipping schedule.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High School Diploma; or equivalent.
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing, team player, and a willingness to learn.
• Solid attendance track record.
