Engineering Intern

PPG, LLC is seeking a part-time Engineering Intern to support product evaluation and documentation efforts within our Dallas Distribution Center. This is a hands-on role ideal for students pursuing an engineering degree who want real-world experience in a fast-moving, operational environment.

 

This internship is 20 hours per week during the semester, with the option to increase to 40 hours per week during semester breaks. You’ll work closely with our engineering and operations teams to examine product stamping, update technical documentation, and contribute to quality and process improvements.

 

About PPG, LLC

PPG manufactures, sources, and markets a broad line of plumbing repair and remodel products through the retail home improvement and hardware channel (Danco division), as well as a broad line of rough plumbing products sold through wholesale and OEM channels (LSP Products division).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine product stamping and verify accuracy against specifications.
  • Update and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and product records.
  • Support engineering and operations teams with data collection and process review.
  • Assist with documentation clean-up and organization for ongoing projects.
  • Communicate findings clearly to engineering staff and identify discrepancies.
  • Contribute to special projects and other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to reviewing technical information.
  • Solid communication skills and comfort working in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with technical drawings is a plus.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
