Entry Level E-commerce Coordinator (Wholesale Accounts)

Hero Pet Brands (HPB) is a division of NCH Corporation and seeking an entry level e-commerce Coordinator focused on Operations to support and drive our rapidly growing ecommerce and digital initiatives. Under the direction of the E-commerce Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to drive sales through multiple retail partner channels.  This role will be responsible for creating new items online, developing and optimizing SEO content, conducting keyword and competitive research, category management, SKU optimization, and reporting and analysis. Additionally, this role will work with cross-functional departments on new products and changes to ensure content is complete with required data across all retail partner online sales channels. This role will also be responsible for tracking progress of adds/changes/deletes to content across online sales channels and performing catalog maintenance, including description changes, image updates, and item deletions.


Responsibilities

New Item Setup – 15%

 

  • Manage item set up and maintenance for e-commerce items: item descriptions, dimensions, pricing, images, advanced content, links and item hierarchy dimensions, pricing, images, advanced content, links and item hierarchy.
  • Provide web descriptions for new product announcements at the request of the trade marketing or brand marketing teams.
  • Provide the correct new item images for upload to customer websites.
  • Submit design requests for photography or additional imagery as needed.
  • Track status of new items and monitor progress until product is fully updated on customer sites.
  • Ensure products go live in a timely and efficient manner in coordination with all cross-functional partners.

 

Content Execution & Optimization – 70%
 

  • Execute and upload product details across key retail partners’ sites to ensure consistency and SEO optimization.
  • Work to understand the product or category needs through discussions with or input from Product Marketing, Customer Reviews, Customer Service, etc.
  • Identify opportunities and manage design request process for infographics, imagery, photographs, and video.
  • Assist team lead in managing the sign off process, update documents with changes and communicate with the stakeholders in the process.
  • Perform weekly checks on product assortment on Amazon Marketplace to ensure consistency in images, copy, price, product family variations, customer reviews, availability, in-stock, and inventory.
  • Contact and manage communication with Amazon support through Seller Central system with consistency in follow-up to ensure issues and cases are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Effectively follow-up and provide up-to-date summary status to the e-commerce team and cross-functional departments as issues arise and may impact the business.
  • Actively monitor and proactively address any channel revenue impacting tasks on a daily basis.

 

Technology Usage/Management – 5%

  • Ability to learn and grasp basic concept behind integration between 3rd party technology and internal platforms.
  • Ability to toggle and work between multiple platforms and systems on a daily basis.
  • Own and identify technology gaps and challenges and bring forth recommendations to e-commerce manager and cross-functional team members.

 

Reporting & Analysis – 10%

  • Pull weekly or monthly performance data upon request
  • Make recommendations on how to improve consumption
  • Foster relationships with other departments that provide and use data
  • Report new item status and content updates on a weekly basis
  • Remain up to date and aware of latest trends related to e-Commerce platforms
  • Become owner and expert at managing select 3rd party tools to distribute and upload data

 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital retail, marketing, advertising, PR, business, communications or related field.
  • 6 months – 1 year experience (including internship) in e-commerce, marketing or related role highly preferred.
  • Exceptional project management, time management, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to work out of multiple technology tools and systems simultaneously.
  • Intermediate experience level in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required.
