Entry Level E-commerce Operations Coordinator (Amazon Marketplace)

Hero Pet Brands (HPB) is a division of NCH Corporation and seeking an entry level e-commerce Coordinator focused on Operations to support and drive our rapidly growing ecommerce and digital initiatives. Our core brands include: Simple Solution®, OUT!®, Vet’s Best® and Natural Care®, Buffalo Range® and Bags on Board®.

Under the direction of the Manager of E-commerce & Digital, this role provides a unique opportunity to drive sales through Amazon Marketplace, the fastest growing channel for Hero Pet Brands. This role will be responsible for new product listing set up, assist in inventory management and planning, merchandising, supply chain logistics, generating sales reporting and analysis, and adoption of software/technology integration.  


Additionally, this role will work with appropriate departments on new product launches and changes to ensure all content is complete with required data in addition to tracking progress of adds/changes/deletes to websites and performing catalog maintenance to websites including description changes, image updates, and item deletions.




  • New Product Listing Set up – 15%
  • Perform item set up for new items on Amazon Seller Central: item descriptions, dimensions, pricing, images, advanced content, links and item hierarchy dimensions, pricing, images, advanced content, links and item hierarchy.
  • Provide the correct new item images for upload to customer websites.
  • Submit design requests for photography or additional imagery upon request.
  • Gather product attributes and ensure product feeds are properly integrated with our technology and systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Track and update status of new items and monitor progress until product is fully updated on customer sites


  • Amazon Platform Operations – 50%
  • Perform weekly checks on product assortment on Amazon Marketplace to ensure consistency in images, copy, price, product family variations, customer reviews, availability, in-stock, and inventory.
  • Contact and manage communication with Amazon support through Seller Central system with consistency in follow-up to ensure issues and cases are resolved in a timely manner.
  •  Effectively follow-up and provide up-to-date summary status to the e-commerce team and cross-functional departments as issues arise and may impact the business.
  • Actively monitor and proactively address any channel revenue impacting tasks on a daily basis.


  • Logistics & Supply Chain Operations – 15%
  • Become owner, expert and remain up-to-date on Amazon’s logistics/supply chain requirements. Including but not limited to: labeling, fee structure, fee schedule, product assortment tiers, packaging requirements, and inventory storage requirements.
  • Effectively communicate channel requirements to both e-commerce and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce manager and senior team members for optimal inventory planning to reduce operational costs while maintaining healthy in-stock level.
  • Work with operations team to plan shipments and send in shipments to the fulfillment center.


  • Technology Usage/Management – 10%
  • Ability to learn and grasp basic concept behind integration between 3rd party technology and internal platforms.
  • Ability to toggle and work between multiple platforms and systems on a daily basis.
  • Own and identify technology gaps and challenges and bring forth recommendations to e-commerce manager and cross-functional team members.


  • Reporting & Analysis – 10%
  • Pull weekly or monthly performance data upon request
  • Make recommendations on how to improve consumption and maintain optimal inventory
  • Foster relationships with other departments that provide and use data
  • Report new item status and content updates on a weekly basis
  • Remain up to date and aware of latest trends related to Amazon marketplace
  • Become owner and expert at managing select 3rd party tools to distribute and upload data to Amazon marketplace



  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business operations, economics, operations management, project management, system administration, mathematics or related field.
  • 6 months – 1 year experience (including internship) in e-commerce, operations, supply chain or related role highly preferred.
  • Exceptional project management, time management, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to work out of multiple technology tools and systems simultaneously.
  • Intermediate experience level in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required.
