Chem-Aqua – Industrial Water Treatment District Sales Manager

The Industrial Water Treatment District Sales Manager will manage the day to day operations of the team leading a service role on existing accounts. This District Sales Manager will report to the Regional Manager on a weekly basis with bi-monthly visits of the Divisional Manager.

  • Manage the sales team in assigned area. 
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of sales/billings activities and projecting future sales growth.
  • Lead decision making and signing authority based on communications with Division VP and Regional Manager.
  • Continue servicing existing accounts in the territory.
  • Assist sales reps with RFP activities as necessary.
  • Establish transition plans for new accounts and portfolios.
  • Set sales targets for the sales team according to territory initiatives.
  • Maintain and help increase standards of Chem-Aqua customer service.
  • Drive team performance.
  • Lead training and development of the sales team for success on and off the field.



  • College Degree Preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in water treatment, water hygiene, environmental health and safety, and/or secondary disinfection is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in sales/sales management with a proven successful track record.
  • Able to identify new business opportunities, develop and implement water treatment solutions for our prospects and customers.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience working on teams from multiple locations.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • MUST be Highly Motivated and a Self-Starter.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and management skill.
  • Perform physical work in a HVAC, cooling towers, or boiler equipment environment requiring exposure to chemicals, noise, hot & cold temperatures and inclement weather
  • MUST be in good physical ability – the job requires frequent walking to and from worksite.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (DMV record will be checked)
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, some weekends required depending on the servicing of accounts
  • Required work activities include but are not limited to, climbing and descending stairs and ladders (from 10-30’ in height), sometimes while carrying drums of chemicals weighing up to 75 pounds while maintaining a 3-point ladder contact (per OSHA rules). As of the date of this job description, the available ladders have a weight limit of 375 pounds
